Who is Britain's best locksmith?

TradeChamp is a public competition to find the trades Britain actually rates — decided by real votes from real people, not adverts.

  • Real, independent businesses
  • Free to vote — one person, one vote
  • Businesses can't buy their way up
  • Rankings decided by votes alone
How it works

A national competition, decided by the public

No pay-to-win, no sponsored ranks. Just the businesses people are willing to vouch for.

1

Find

Search your town for the locksmiths in the running for 2026.

2

Vote

Back the one you rate. It's free, and it's one legitimate vote per person.

3

Climb

Every vote moves them up the national table and their local town table.

4

Claim

Businesses claim their profile to respond, share, and rally their customers.

The leaderboard

Every business gets a profile

People vote, share, and follow the race here. Owners can claim their profile to take the reins.

This is how a locksmith appears in the competition: their national position, their standing in their own town, their vote count, and the buttons the public uses to back them or share the race.

Owners claim their profile to keep details accurate, post an update, and encourage happy customers to vote — but claiming a profile never changes the ranking. Only votes do.

Fair play

How we keep it honest

A ranking is only worth something if people trust it. Here's where we stand.

One person, one vote

We take reasonable steps to keep voting fair: one legitimate vote per person, per business.

Votes can't be bought

Businesses cannot pay for votes or pay to sit higher in the table. There is no upgrade that moves you up.

The rank isn't for sale

The order of the leaderboard reflects public votes — nothing else decides who's on top.

Clearly labelled

If we ever introduce sponsored or promoted placements, they will always be marked as such — never disguised as a rank.
